Fellowship Hall Use

Set-up/Break-down Procedure

The primary purpose of the Topsail Presbyterian Fellowship Hall is for the social development and fellowship of the church community.  It is a facility in which church meetings, educational and social programs may be conducted. The hall’s secondary purpose is to provide facilities to outside groups who wish to host a meeting or an event within the community.

In order to use the Fellowship Hall, reservation of the hall must be made through the church office at (910)270-2312.  Requests should be made as far in advance as possible.

All groups that reserve the Fellowship Hall for use, whether for permanent weekly/monthly scheduled meetings and events or one-time events must adhere to a strict set-up and break-down policy and procedure that has been approved by TPC session and goes into effect on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

This new policy will include a default set-up that must be adhered to upon break down of scheduled events.

  • Each group, church committees or outside community groups, will be required to arrange for set-up of tables and chairs for their event and then will be required to break-down  event set-ups and return tables and chairs to the default arrangement as displayed in the policy photo.
  • Each committee or group will be responsible for providing the necessary number of people to arrange set-ups and breakdowns and rearrange into the default set-up.
  • Each committee or group will also be required to perform general clean-up following scheduled meetings or events.

There will be a check sheet located near the policy that will be required to sign-in/sign-out of upon completion of breakdown, reset and clean-up.

This new policy will be posted in the Fellowship Hall along with a diagram that displays the default table and chair set-up and check sheet.  Groups found to not be adhering to the policy may be barred from future use or asked to re-locate future meetings.  Groups not signing off on the check sheet will be given a warning with potential barring for repeated inaction.

Topsail Presbyterian Church enjoys the spirit of togetherness that the Fellowship Hall brings to the congregation and the community.  Let us work together to make it an enjoyable experience and venue for all.

Thank you,

TPC Administration
