Adult Sunday Schools
Sanctuary Class: This class, led by Nick Ferrante, is currently studying “Feasting on the Word.” This innovative curriculum will use the lectionary passages (scriptures used for sermons) as the scripture basis for each week’s study. The curriculum focuses on three themes: What do we need to know about the scripture? What does it say about God? How does it relate to our lives? It will be a neat faith conversation to study the scriptures and then hear Owen’s sermon. Come join us each Sunday in the sanctuary as we “Feast on the Word.”
The Fellowship Sunday School Class: will meet June 5 and 12 before the summer break from June 19 - August 14. We continue with the Present Word series: Toward a New Creation: - why we need it and how Jesus provides it. We welcome you to come and explore, discuss and share your insights into the scriptures each week. Discussion leaders are Kathy Crumpler, Glenn Piver and Don Campbell.
Young Adult Class: This class meets in the gathering room to discuss current topics as related to the Bible. David Garner leads a lively discussion and infants are welcome.
Children and Youth
Sunday School this year is to assist each and every young person in our church in learning more about the Bible and how it applies to their lives. We will offer three different classes based on age. Each class will study the Bible in an age appropriate way using games, drama, discussions, food, and art activities. There is something for everyone. And so the parents do not feel left out, we will have a Young Adult Sunday School class that meets at the same time. You have no excuse not to participate on Sundays.
Preschool Sunday School Class: Wee Believe nurtures the development of faith through age-appropriate Bible stories. Because young children learn best through repetition, most Bible stories are explored over two sessions. Children meet in the classroom wing of the church.
Elementary Sunday School Class This group is studying We Believe Elementary. Engaging in biblical stories shared in a variety of ways, children learn through the stimulation of their imagination and class participation. Younger and Older Elementary follow the same scope and sequence.
Tweens and Younger Youth: Following the Echo the Story scope and sequence, Tweens and Younger Youth feature weekly discussion topics pulled from everyday life that challenge participants to put their faith into action. Shona Talbert and Jennifer Schwarz leads our youth to follow Jesus.
